Who Are Our Volunteers?
Our volunteers are the heart of the Rheola Charity Carnival. They come from our local community and far beyond, with people travelling from regional Victoria, Melbourne and even interstate to lend a hand. Our volunteer team includes people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, each contributing in their own way. Some volunteers spend months helping to plan and prepare behind the scenes, while others generously give just an hour or two on Carnival Day. Whether it's setting up, directing parking, selling tickets, assisting with events or packing up at the end of the day, every contribution is valued and makes a real difference. It is this incredible spirit of generosity, community and teamwork that has helped keep the Rheola Charity Carnival thriving for more than 150 years. Every volunteer, no matter how much time they give, plays an important role in making the carnival the special event it is today.

Meet the Team Behind the Carnival
Behind every Rheola Charity Carnival is a dedicated team of volunteers who generously give their time throughout the year. From planning and organising to coordinating volunteers, sponsors and events, our committee works tirelessly to ensure the carnival continues to thrive. Together with our many volunteers, they help keep a proud tradition of community, fundraising and country hospitality alive.
Certificate of Appreciation Recipients
The Certificate of Appreciation, formerly known as Life Governorship, is a special acknowledgement recognising an individual’s outstanding contribution and dedication to the Rheola Charity Carnival and its fundraising efforts for our beneficiary hospitals. Each year, a person is nominated in recognition of their commitment, support, and the important role they have played in helping the carnival continue its proud tradition of giving back to the community. Recipients are honoured at the official carnival ceremony, where their Certificate of Appreciation is presented by a representative from one of the beneficiary hospitals. Below is a list of the valued individuals who have received this recognition throughout the history of the Rheola Charity Carnival.
